Resilient Homes Program passes two important milestones in latest dashboard update

The latest dashboard figures for the Northern Rivers Reconstruction Corporation’s (NRRC) $700 million Resilient Homes Program have been updated today.

The dashboard update, with figures as of Monday 8 May, is now live on the NRRC’s website, with the number of buyback offers passing the 250 mark and the first home settlement achieved.

In the latest figures, 831 people have now been assessed as eligible for a buyback, and 326 valuations have been undertaken.

Of the 831 eligible for a buyback, 251 have now received offers, up from 191 when the dashboard was last updated on April 27.

The NRRC has introduced a new category in this latest update ‘offers accepted’, which now stands at 61.

Overall, 6471 people have registered for the Resilient Homes Program.

Buybacks in some of the hardest flood-hit areas of Lismore, Tweed, Byron Bay, Richmond Valley, Kyogle, Ballina and the Clarence Valley are being prioritised in the first phase of the program.

But the Resilient Homes Program also includes house raising and retrofitting.

The NRRC has pledged to let everyone registered for the program know of their indicative eligibility by mid-year.
