The Northern Rivers is renowned for its stunning landscapes, strong industries and vibrant community life, shaped by its unique blend of coastal and hinterland environments. Through Our Northern Rivers, organisers aim to showcase this diversity and highlight the stories that make the region a great place to live, work and connect.
“Our Northern Rivers photography competition is a great way for people to connect with what makes this region special,” said Anthony Schreenan, RDA Northern Rivers Director of Regional Development. “From working farms and local industries to community events and everyday moments, this competition invites everyone to share their unique perspective and celebrate the stories of our communities.”
Judging will be undertaken by a panel of local arts and community representatives, with winners announced on 20 April 2026. Winning images will be showcased across Live Northern Rivers and partner platforms.
Suggested themes include community events and celebrations, working life and industry, nature and landscape, and people and community life.
