The Marist Brothers Ramettes will take on the Cudgen Hornets in the NRRRL Ladies League Tag Grand Final on Sunday.

The match has an early start of 9:45am in Bilambil but the team is primed to bring the Premiership Trophy back to Lismore.

It will be the top two sides from the regular season clashing in the big match after Cudgen completed the season undefeated and the Ramettes only having the one loss to Cudgen, 14-4 back in Round 7 in June.

It is the fifth Grand Final in a row for the Marist Brothers side who have been able to keep their place at the top of the Ladies League Tag competition since it's inception.

Coach Al Petty, is happy with his side going into the match, "The Girls are excited and ready to go."

"It is our fifth Grand Final in a row, we are 50/50, we have won two and lost two."

The Grand Final will be Petty's swansong as the Ramettes Ladies League Tag Coach after taking over in the second year of the competition from current player Hayley McAnelly.

"Cudgen were the undefeated Minor Premiers and the two best teams in the competition will play in the Grand Final on Sunday."

"We are a very experienced side, but the young girls have added something to the side this year."

"We have our big four players in Lily Patston, Hayley McAnelly, Shataya King and Alyssa Goode. Lily came in the second year but the other three have been there since the start."

"Sienna Smith and Shontali Williams, two 16 year old kids, have come into the team this year and have had outstanding seasons. They have brought something to the team."
