The Marist Brothers Ramettes have gone down fighting in the NRRRL Ladies League Tag Grand Final.
The side went down 14-10 in a hotly contested match against the Cudgen Hornets at the Bilambil East Sports Fields on Sunday.
Cudgen were undefeated going into the match and the Ramettes were out to change the 1-0 ledger this season.
Fallon Campbell and Billie Reid scored tries for Marist Brothers, with fullback Shataya King kicking a penalty goal.
Cudgen managed to cross for three tries to ruin the fairytale finish for coach Al Petty who has decided to hand over the reins for the 2023 season.
It was the fifth Grand Final in a row for the Ramettes.
