Rain wreaks havoc with sporting fixtures

The wet weather hitting the Northern Rivers is causing havoc with sporting finals.

The Far North Coast Rugby Union have been forced to postpone their Preliminary Finals set down for Kingsford Smith Oval in Ballina on Saturday.

A new date will be advised as soon as possible.

Far North Coast Hockey have made announcements regarding Junior Hockey on their social media pages, with some matches postponed.

Lismore and District Netball Association will make decisions on each Semi Final time slot as the day progresses and they have already postponed the 9am matches.

Football Far North Coast clubs and teams are requested keep checking on the various club Facebook and social media pages for updates, with some matches postponed and a number of venue changes being organised.

One sport that will hopefully avoid the wet weather is basketball with the Lismore Storm Men's and Women's team that are travelling to Coffs Harbour to take on the Suns in the Sunshine Conference tonight
