If writing a will always seems to be a ‘gunna’ now is your chance to tick it off the To Do list.

As part of 2021 Wills Week (March 22-26) Northern Rivers residents have an opportunity to get a simple will drafted by a fully qualified professional solicitor in the local area for $125 for a half-hour appointment or $225 for a one-hour appointment.

The appointment can be used to draft a first will or update an existing will.

Solicitors donate their time so that 100 per cent of the booking fee is donated to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

But time is running out to register your interest. Bookings are essential and close on February 26.

There are also participating solicitors in Alstonville, Ballina, Byron Bay, Casino, Kyogle, and Murwillumbah.

Once you’ve booked and paid for your appointment you’ll receive a form to help you outline what you would like in your will. It must be lodged with your solicitor at least seven days before your appointment so a draft will can be provided for your review at the appointment.

So there’s no longer any excuse for putting your will on the back-burner.
