The northern side of Woodlark Street now has a cafe option, with the Village People Cafe opening last week.
The owners of the popular Goonellabah cafe called Village People, have now opened a second shop in the CBD in the Summerland Arcade.
Before the 2022 flood, owners Emily and Andrea Bonotto owned and ran the popular restaurant Dirty Wilsons on Keen Street.
Now having set up in Goonellabah post-flood for the last year, Emily said she missed being part of the CBD.

"My husband Andrea and I really missed being part of town; we really love being part of Lismore," she said.
"We decided to open up a second venue in Lismore, with the community we love. It has fantastic diversity."
The new cafe, which offers a grab-and-go service, provides a range of food options and coffee.
"We offer really nice deli baguettes, bagels, donuts that we make, cakes, yummy deli sandwiches and more," she said.
"A great benefit of this location is the Browns Creek car park behind us, so people can swing by and get a fast lunch."
Emily also said they would continue to operate in Goonellabah as well.
"The Goonellabah premises is where we have our commercial kitchen, which gives us security from flood," she said.
"We bring down our cakes and some other food items from that venue. It allows us to be more flexible and continue operating if another flood hits."
"We make the sandwiches and coffee on-site here in the Lismore shop."
Village People Lismore is in the Summerland Arcade on Woodlark Street, opposite The Boys Hair and Makeup. They are open Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm.
