Richmond District Police have made a series of arrests over Theft and Break and Enters in the Lismore area.

Early this morning, patrolling police arrested a 46-year-old Coraki man after he allegedly broke into a business in Ballina Road, Lismore.

He was taken to the Lismore Police Station where he was given conditional bail to present at the Lismore Local Court on 20 January.

Meanwhile, yesterday afternoon, Richmond Police District officers arrested a 30-year-old man from Ipswich, Queensland, and a 29-year-old woman from Benarkin, Queensland, after a pursuit that ended in Wollongbar.

An extensive search of surrounding rural properties, involving police dog Yogi, located the pair where they were arrested.

They were taken to Lismore Police Station and charged with numerous property theft offences including police pursuit, goods in custody suspected of being stolen, possess prohibited drug and fraud offences. Further charges are likely.

Both were bail refused and will appear before the Lismore Local Court this morning.
