Police ask for help to find car used in Bexhill break, enter and steal

A man has been charged as investigations continue into a break, enter and steal at Bexhill (Richmond Police District) earlier this month.



At about 7.40am on Wednesday 1 February 2023, police were called to a property at Bangalow Road, Bexhill, following reports unknown persons had allegedly stolen farming machinery.


Following inquiries, investigators from the Northern Zone Rural Crime Prevention Team arrested a 30-year-old Naughtons Gap man on Thursday 2 February 2023.



He was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling in company, and aggravated enter agricultural lands and interfere with business. He was granted conditional bail to appear before Lismore Local Court on Tuesday 28 February 2023.


As inquiries continue, investigators are calling on the public to help locate a vehicle of interest. The vehicle is described as a white tray-back single-cab utility vehicle, towing a dark-coloured box trailer.



Anyone with information or dashcam footage in the Bexhill area between 7am-7.40am on Wednesday 1 February 2023 is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
