Police have recovered a large amount of allegedly stolen property from multiple break-and-enters in Lismore.
Last month, officers from Richmond Police District commenced an investigation into a number of break-and-enters at various businesses in Lismore. The Lismore App understands these businesses to include Just Ride Cycles, SportsPower, Lismore City Bowling Club, a Liberty Service Station and the Lismore Golf Club.
Police will allege between Tuesday 18 April 2023 and Sunday 7 May 2023, two people forced entry to five separate businesses, before stealing a number of items, including golf carts, bicycles, and sporting equipment.
Following inquiries, police attended an address at Wyrallah Road, East Lismore, where they arrested a 17-year-old teenage boy yesterday (Wednesday 10 May 2023).
During a search of the home, police located a number of items, believed to be stolen property.
The teenage boy was taken to Lismore Police Station where he was dealt in accordance with the Young Offenders Act.
Inquiries are continuing into the incidents.
