Police appeal for information after fatal Tumbulgum crash

Police are appealing for information after a fatal crash at Tumbulgum earlier this week.


Emergency services were called to Tweed Valley Way, Tumbulgum, about 7.30am Monday (30 June 2025), following reports of a crash.


At the scene, officers found a hatchback and SUV had collided head-on.



An 85-year-old woman driving the hatchback was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene; however, was unable to be revived.


The driver of the SUV – a 43-year-old woman – sustained minor injuries and was taken to Tweed Valley Hospital for mandatory testing.


Officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District and the Far North Coast Crash Investigation Unit would like to speak to anyone with information or dashcam footage relevant to this incident.
