Petrol prices: we are nearly below $1 a litre Screenshot of Petrol Spy this afternoon

Yesterday, I published a story on our petrol prices and the continuing downward trend towards the $1 a litre mark.

What a milestone that would be, considering Lismore has a tradition of higher petrol prices than our surrounding neighbours. While that still is the case in some town centres we are very close to that milestone.

The cheapest petrol in town goes to the United petrol station on Ballina Road yet again. Today, they have lowered the price of unleaded E10 to 101.9.

The screen shot from Petrol Spy shows that other stations fall well short of this mark.

Let's hope I can give you some more good news this week when prices go below $1 a litre.

By the way, Casino has an 89.9, Broadwater 97.9 and Newrybar 99.9. Ballina's cheapest is 103.9 at Metro Petroleum while most others are 125.9.
