Emergency services were called to West Street, Casino, following reports a woman had been hit by a semi-trailer at about 3.30pm today, Monday, June 10.



A woman, 39, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted by the rescue helicopter to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

The male truck driver, 33, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.


Casino VRA Rescue Squad was in attendance.



Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the incident.
