UPDATE 8am Thursday, August 29
About 3:50pm yesterday (Wednesday 28 August 2024), emergency services were called to the intersection of Oliver Avenue and Waratah Way, Goonellabah, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a motorcycle.
Officers attached to Richmond Police District attended and found a 14-year-old boy with a laceration to his leg and a 65-year-old man with a suspected dislocated hip.
Police were told the teenager had been attempting to cross the road, when he collided with the motorcycle.
Officers spoke with both people, with no further action to be undertaken.
UPDATE 4:56pm
Westbound traffic is flowing normally, with some slow moving traffic eastbound.
Lismore App reader Rita has passed on information of an accident on Oliver Avenue in Goonellabah.
A motorcycle is on its side near Warratah Way with ambulance officers treating the rider.
Police are also in attendance directing traffic, which is down to one lane with traffic alternating.
