There are many concerns as we age, having enough money in retirement, maintaining your health and losing your independence are at the top of the list.
Keeping your driver's licence is a key factor when it comes to maintaining independence. And, not everyone knows what the rules and regulations are as they age.
Julie Crocker is an independent Driving School instructor and on behalf of Transport for NSW is running a free 65 Years Plus Older Road User Workshops in Lismore Kyogle and Casino in early November.
Julie said the Workshops will cover a number of topics and tips to help people make safer choices and stay independent.
"It profiles the changes and main health issues that affect driving that comes with age," Julie explained.
"I will also explain the licensing system, including information for those who want to transition from full-time driving to modified licences or other transport options, such as community transport in the area."
"There is also a discussion and videos on the 10 most understood road rules. There will be plenty of time for any questions people may have."
The workshops will include guest speakers from Hart Services & Southside Health to promote community transport & mobility scooters and answer any questions in those areas.
Morning and afternoon tea will be provided (free).
The workshops are FREE.
The workshops will be held on:
