The NSW SES Lismore Unit have had reports of flash flooding around Woodlark St, Dawsons st, Uralba Street and Brewster Street so the oval area in front of The Square.

Slow down in those areas and be aware of water on the road.

The pumps will kick in and the water will drain, but until that happens we need you to be extra careful.

Please do not go near the open drains around the ovals. During these times they are particularly dangerous.

There are also reports of water on the road at East Lismore on Wyrallah Road.

With more rain forecast and the possibility of heavy falls, be vigilant on the roads.

For people who need sandbags and are able to come and collect them.

Ring 132500 and advise them that you need sandbags, what type of area you need to sandbag (that tells us how many you will need) and that you can collect them.

You will be given a job number. Bring that down to the Lismore City SES unit on Brunswick street to collect sandbags.
