Northern Rivers Women and Children’s Services Inc. (NORWACS) has announced a significant milestone in its journey of supporting women’s health and wellbeing in the region. As of July 1 2025, the organisation is now known as Women’s Health Northern Rivers (WHNR).
This change reflects a renewed focus and commitment to delivering inclusive, accessible, and holistic health services for women across the Northern Rivers region. The new name and brand identity better represent the organisation’s core mission and evolving role in the community.
“For over 30 years, NORWACS has been a trusted provider of health and support services for women and children,” said Kim Boyd, Chief Executive Officer of WHNR. “As we move forward, our new name – Women’s Health Northern Rivers – more clearly communicates who we are and the vital work we do to empower women through health, education, and advocacy.”
The rebranding includes a refreshed visual identity and website, designed to enhance engagement and accessibility for clients, partners, and the broader community. While the name has changed, WHNR remains deeply committed to its values of compassion, equity, and empowerment.
