Norco Ice Cream Factory pre-big floodThe Norco ice cream factory is operational once again albeit on a part-time basis.
A statement from Norco said:
Norco is pleased to confirm that the Lismore ice cream factory has recommenced (part) operations.
Lines of production are being commissioned in a phased approach, with the factory expected to be fully operational by the end of November 2024.
All stood down employees have been welcomed back to work, with additional team members joining Norco in a phased approach over the next couple of months.
We continue to be incredibly grateful for the community support along this journey and look forward to sharing more information about the new facility and Norco product lines in due course.
Meanwhile, Lismore's famous Pie Cart is looking to update its seating plan on Magellan Street with wheelchair access to some tables and two enclosed pods.

The $40,000 price tag is for Ecoplaswood furniture that uses 100% recycled reclaimed plastics in their slats and products that were doomed for landfill.
Not only that, it claims to require no ongoing maintenance and looks and feels exactly like real timber but there is no oiling, sealing, or painting required.

The plans are before Lismore City Council with a decision pending.
