The Nimbin Road is open following yesterday afternoon's accident on Nimbin Road at Booerie Creek.

There has been some confusion this morning with Live Traffic showing the road still closed. The last update was at 7:25am from Lismore City Council (LCC).

LCC has confirmed the road is open this morning.

At about 1.30pm today (Thursday, 27 July 2023), emergency services were called to Nimbin Road, Booerie Creek, following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Officers attached to Richmond Police District attended and were told a motorcycle had crashed into a guard rail.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 55-year-old man at the scene, who was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
