Northern Rivers residents are invited to join the NSW Reconstruction Authority (RA), and local Nimbin services, including Nimbin Neighbourhood Centre and the Nimbin Disaster Resilience Group, this Saturday (10 May 2025) for afternoon tea and a conversation about disaster planning.

Members of the community are encouraged to come along to the Nimbin Town Hall, at 45 Cullen Street, Nimbin, at 1:30pm, to explore the RA’s giant interactive map, to help get a better understanding of the potential risk and impact of future disasters they may face in their community.

The afternoon will commence with an afternoon tea, and conversations led by local service providers. 

From 2pm, residents will be invited to engage in disaster preparedness conversations specific to Nimbin and the surrounding area.

The event will conclude at 4pm.
