The A-League is returning to Lismore on Saturday!

The last time a pre-season A-League fixture was played in Lismore was 2013.

Newcastle Jets will be looking to find their feet under new coach Mark Milligan when they take on the Brisbane Roar in the preseason exhibition match at Oakes Oval.

Along with the new coach, the Jets will also look to new recruits Alex Badolato (Western Sydney Wanderers F.C), Joe Shaughnessy (Dundee F.C), Max Burgess (Sydney F.C) and James Delianov (Adelaide United F.C).

The Jets finished ninth in the 2024/2025 A-League season, narrowly missing out on finals and will be looking to push for a finals spot this season, starting with the Lismore clash.

The Brisbane Roar had a season to forget and will be looking for a change of fortune and push themselves up the ladder with several imports joining the squad in recent weeks.

This blockbuster clash is part of the 2025 Jets:Tour, powered by Greater Bank, and will be a huge weekend of football, with a Jets:Play clinic on the Friday, community activities and a great afternoon of live action on Saturday.

Gates will open at 2:00pm, with the match scheduled to kick off at 3:00pm.

A special guest will be present in the crowd watching on with interest, with local football legend Craig Foster returning to take in the spectacle.

Grandstand tickets are sold out, but there are still General Admission tickets available. Ticket prices are as low as $7.15 for 13-17 year olds and $12.25 for adults, with children under 13 free with an accompanying adult.

Tickets are available via Oztix.
