An enigmatic new coffee roasting business with a difference is slowly shaping up to become a reality at 53 Dawson Street in Lismore.
Called Timbre, the new business will be the main office for a coffee business with altruistic intentions.
The business' owner Melissa said the plans to open the new premises had been slowed down due to lockdowns – but that she was in the final stages of fulfilling Lismore Council’s specifications before opening the doors.
Melissa said the Dawson Street building would become the main office for Kwila Coffee - a small, independent coffee roasting business.
"We are involved with partnership projects in Papua New Guinea and we source our coffee ethically from these partnerships," Melissa said.
“The new premises will include a workshop space with a small coffee shop and retail space that connects customers with artisans that we are engaged with at places where our coffee originates.
“We will also have a small pop-up style retail section dedicated to of some other artists from organisations we collaborate with.”
Melissa said anyone keen to find out more about the business and how to support its projects can visit Instagram @timbre.lismore.
“We so look forward to being part of the business community and bring some South Pacific flavours to Lismore,” she said.
