A new face now sits at the Board table of Regional Development Australia (RDA) Northern Rivers.
Vaughan Macdonald, current general manager at Richmond Valley Council, has joined the RDA-NR Board and is ready to being new blood and fresh ideas to developing our region.

"I am looking forward to joining the RDA Northern Rivers Board as I am committed to developing the full potential of regional Australia and passionate about making a difference in the region as well as my own community," Mr Macdonald said.
RDA Northern Rivers’ Board chair, Don Page said Mr Macdonald brings a broad set of skills and knowledge to the RDA Northern Rivers Board.
"This includes an extensive knowledge of all levels of government and our region, strategic planning and policy, business and community networks," Mr Page said.
“These skills complement those of our very experienced Board members who generously donate their time to this organisation."
RDA-NR Director of Regional Development, Tim Williamson said “Mr Macdonald is a highly respected regional and community leader and I look forward to his mentorship and contribution as an integral member of the Board".
"Mr Macdonald has a wealth of experience in local government having been employed in various roles across the Local Government portfolio with the NSW Government from 2002 before joining Richmond Valley Council in 2015 as Chief Operating Officer," he said.
"In 2016 he was appointed to the position of General Manager with Richmond Valley Council and continues in that role."
Mr Macdonald’s appointment brings the RDA Northern Rivers membership to eight members.
The RDA Board, Director of Regional Development and staff welcome Mr Macdonald as a valued member of the Board.
