A motorcyclist has died in a crash near Nimbin today.

This morning, emergency services were called to Kyogle Road at Lillian Rock, north-west of Nimbin, after a motorcycle and a van collided about 9.45am.

The motorcyclist, a 64-year-old man, died at the scene.

The van driver, a 24-year-old woman, was uninjured and taken to Nimbin Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Richmond Police District are investigating the crash and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
