For the second consecutive day NSW has recorded 0 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19, in fact, 0 cases in total in the last 24-hours as overseas travellers also recorded 0 cases.
While this is very positive news for Lismore and the Northern Rivers we are not out of the woods yet and must remain vigilant.
NSW Health has been notified of updated advice and/or revised exposure times for several previously announced venues in the Byron Bay region which were visited by confirmed cases of COVID‑19.
NSW Health is contacting known patrons directly to advise that anyone who attended the bar at the following venue at the time listed is considered a close contact and must immediately get tested and self-isolate for 14 days, regardless of the result.
Any other patrons who attended the hotel/motel during this time are considered casual contacts and must get tested and self-isolate until they receive a negative result:

Anyone who is planning to visit NSW from Queensland or who has been in Queensland in the last two weeks should check the Queensland Health website regularly, especially before any travel, and follow the public health advice if they were at any of the listed venues. People who are required to test and isolate should do so immediately.

The current restrictions will remain in place until 11:59pm Monday, April 5 for the Lismore City Council, Ballina Shire Council, Byron Shire Council and the Tweed Shire Council:
NSW Health will now report the daily number of COVID-19 vaccines administered to 8pm the previous night. There were 6,956 COVID-19 vaccines administered by NSW Health in the 24 hours to 8pm last night. The total number of vaccines administered by NSW Health is now 124,345.
NNSWLHD Chief Executive Wayne Jones told the Lismore App NSW Health has opened 79 clinics at our health services, with a further 36 opening next week.
"Staff vaccinations in Northern NSW Local Health District commenced on 17 March 2021 and are continuing at Lismore, Tweed and Grafton hospitals."
"More staff clinics have started this week at some of our smaller Multi-Purpose Service sites as part of our phased rollout, and Byron Central Hospital is also starting this weekend."
"Staff being vaccinated at these sites are those in Phase 1a and 1b, which include frontline health workers as well as all other health staff, and residential aged care residents in our facilities."
