The Marist Brothers Rams came away with mixed results from the first weekend of the NRRRL Finals Series.

First Grade had the weekend off by finishing at the top of the Trophy Series ladder but the Ladies League Tag and Reserve Grade both took to the field on Sunday.

The Ramettes came out firing with a 32 points to 6 win over the Ballina Seagulls, with Alyssa Goode crossing for three tries, in the six tries to one win. Shataya King added to her personal tally of 8 points with four conversions.

The Ladies will take on Cudgen in the Major Semi Final next Sunday in Murwillumbah for a place in the LLT Grand Final. The match kicks off at the earlier time of 10:45am.

The Rams Reserve Grade team unfortunately went down to the Cudgen Hornets in a close encounter 25-22. Prop Aiden Kennedy led from the front with two tries, but the loss means it is the end of the season for the Rams.

Being the highest placed team, the Rams will host the First Grade Preliminary Final at Oakes Oval next Saturday, with the main game kicking off at 1:50pm.
