The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a Flood Watch for minor flooding for Wilsons River following heavy rain in the last 24-hours.
This Flood Watch means that people living or working along rivers and streams must monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings and be ready to move to higher ground should flooding develop.
From 1 o'clock this afternoon the BOM's Wilsons River level table shows two rising points, they are at Eltham and East Gundurimba with the rest being 'steady'.
The good news is that only 3.2mm has fallen at Lismore Airport since 9am after 79.2mm fell yesterday, however heavy rain is expected to continue this afternoon and this evening with a further 40-70mm predicted for tomorrow making it difficult to predict events.
A Severe Weather Warning remains in place for the Northern Rivers due to the coastal trough and a low pressure system in the state's west reaching our region. The two cells have been a part for the last two days but you can see the two are merging causing more heavy rain.
There are still many roads that have water covering the surface, Police and SES remind drivers to not travel through these areas.
