Goonellabah Workers Sports Sam McLean and Brad Robertson starred in the return of T/20 cricket in Lismore on Saturday.
The LJ Hooker Competition returned with the first two rounds of the short format, with GWS taking on Marist Brothers and Casino RSM Cavaliers at Oakes Oval.
Marist Brothers batted first and set a total of 7/129 after 20 overs with Brad Robertson taking 4/11 off his 3 overs, taking the key wicket of Kevin Warid after he scored a solid half century for Brothers.

Sam McLean then led with the bat, opening with a solid 58, assisted by Nathan Bezrouchko with 29 and Tom Standish with 18.
Goonellabah Workers Sports snuck past the Brothers total in one ball left in the match, ending at 4/130.
The side then backed up later in the afternoon to take on Casino who posted a very solid total of 3/174.
Looking to chase the big total, McLean again stood up with 60 not out, with Kale Hare solid with 29 and Robertson adding 15.
Unfortunately the total proved to be too much, with GWS finishing with 6/138.
Both Goonellabah and Marist Brothers travel to Murwillumbah on Sunday, with both sides taking on Lennox Head and Murwillumbah.
