Marist Brothers will look for back to back wins when they host Pottsville at Oakes Oval this weekend.

Brothers posted a strong win against the Ballina Bears at Fripp Oval in Round 6 and a win over Pottsville on Saturday and Sunday will have the side off to a perfect start in 2023.

Exciting batsman Israr Mabood will return to the top order after playing limited matches this season.

He takes the place of in form batsman Pat Martin, who is out for this match after scoring 98 against Ballina last Round. The Brothers top order will need to fire without the consistent Martin.

Bowlers Brendan Mitchell and Tom Parsons both had four wicket hauls last week against the Bears and will look to add to their tally against the northerners

Pottsville sit in fourth place on the LJ Hooker League Two Day Ladder in what should be a fairly even contest.

The match commences at 1:00pm.
