Marist Brothers will host the Tweed Banora Colts in a must win two day match at Oakes Oval this weekend.

Just one point separates the two teams on the LJ Hooker League table and a win would keep Brothers in touch with the top four teams.

Brothers are yet to finalise their lineup with player availability over the Saturday/Sunday match still to be determined, with a preliminary squad of 14 players being named.

The squad includes Pat Martin who would be returning from a hamstring injury if he plays and Harry Gillett who would add to the bowling lineup if required.

Although going down to Goonellabah Workers Sports last week, a number of Marist Brothers batsman spent valuable time at the crease.

The key for Brothers to put themselves into a winning position across the weekend is taking wickets, which has been an issue this season. If the side can take early wickets and put pressure on the Colts early, they will put themselves in a strong position for the points.

Captain Brendan Mitchell, fellow opener Owen Bensley and spinner Tom Parsons will again hold the key.

The match commences at 1pm at Oakes Oval.
