Police have charged a man after he allegedly sexually touched a woman during a poker tournament in Lismore at the weekend.
Officers from Richmond Police District began an investigation following reports that a 25-year-old woman had been sexually touched by an unknown man at a licensed premises at Lismore on Saturday.
Police allege the woman was approached by the man at a poker tournament and sexually touched on several occasions before he was ejected by security.
Following extensive inquiries, a 31-year-old man was arrested at a unit in Lismore about 7.30pm last night.
He was taken to Lismore Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of sexually touch another person without consent.
The man was refused bail to appear at Lismore Local Court today, Wednesday, March 4.
