A man has died in hospital following an E bike crash at Byron Bay earlier this month.

About 7:30pm on Saturday, 13 April 2024, emergency services were called to Ewingsdale Road, Byron Bay, following reports of an E-bike crash.

A 30-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and airlifted to Gold Coast Hospital.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Officers from Tweed/Byron Police District attended the scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police have since been notified that the man died in hospital on Thursday (18 April 2024).

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
