Man charged with alleged DV offences in Lismore

A man will face court tomorrow, charged following alleged Domestic Violence offences in Lismore.

About 7.30am on Saturday, 29 November 2025, police were called to a home in Goonellabah following reports of a domestic-violence-related incident.

At the scene, police were told that three people had allegedly been assaulted and threatened by a man known to them before the man left the scene.

Officers attached to Richmond Police District commenced inquiries to locate the man with the assistance of the Central Metropolitan Domestic Violence High Risk Offenders Team (DVHROT).

Following extensive inquiries, officers from the Central Metropolitan DVHROT and South Sydney Police Area Command attended a unit on Pitt Street, Waterloo, today (Tuesday, 23 December 2025).

Upon arrival, a 35-year-old man fled the unit by climbing down from a second-story balcony, where he was immediately arrested by police.

During a search of the man, police allegedly located and seized a knife, scissors, and 0.18g of heroin.

The man was taken to Mascot Police Station, where three outstanding warrants were executed.

He was also charged with two counts of custody of knife in public place, breach of bail, and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 7 tomorrow (Wednesday, 24 December 2025).
