Man charged over filming in local court

Another person has been caught filming in Court.

Richmond District Police will allege that at 11.45am yesterday, a 30 year old Ballina man was at Lismore Court.

He was seen by a Sheriff to be filming Court proceedings on 'snapchat'.

He had filmed a Magistrate and had the words 'F*** I hate Court" on his snapchat (you can fill in the blanks).

The 30 year old will be back at Lismore Local Court next month on a charge of 'Use Recording Device in Court Premises'.

Police said this is sadly becoming a regular occurrence on the Northern Rivers.

If you are caught filming or recording at Court you can expect to be arrested and charged.

If you have to go to Court, turn your mobile phone off.
