Man charged and GHB seized after East Lismore police raid

Following a police raid in East Lismore yesterday, a man has been charged with large commercial drug supply after police officers seized more than 5 litres of GHB and $20,000 cash.


About 11.30am yesterday, Wednesday, March 24, officers attached to Richmond Police District executed a search warrant at a home in Harmony Avenue, East Lismore.


During the search, police seized more than 5 litres of gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), cannabis, methylamphetamine (ice) and $20,000 cash.

Officers also located items consistent with the supply of prohibited drugs.


All items seized during the operation will undergo further examination.


A 55-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Lismore Police Station.


He was charged with supply large commercial quantity prohibited drug, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity) and two counts of possess prohibited drug.


The man was refused bail to appear at Lismore Local Court today, Thursday March 25.
