October is the month of charity golf days, with Lord's Taverners holding a 4-person ambrose event on Sunday, October 27 to raise money to support young and disadvantaged people in their chosen sport.
Lord's Taverners Northern NSW has been operating for the last 15 years centralised in Lismore.
Co-Chair Warren Phelps said, "We help with university degrees, TAFE scholarships and assisting with financial support for young people to chase their dream in sport."
"We are a not-for-profit organisation and volunteer wherever possible in Lismore's many community events, such as Our House, the Samson Challenge, the Darryl Chapman Fun Run, etc."
To raise more funds to support their objective, the charity has decided to have some fun at the Lismore Golf Club for golfers and non-golfers alike.
The cost is $40 per player, with a maximum of 25 teams to take part. Your tickets include a BBQ lunch from 11am to 11:45am and the chance to win some great prizes, plus a raffle will be held.
It is a 12 midday shotgun start.
Nominations close on Monday, October 21. You can book by calling:
