If you are planning your weekend, you‘ll need to plan around the coming rain.
According to Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Gabriel Woodhouse, the cloudy skies herald the beginning of a wet week ahead.
With showers predicted for today and temperatures in the low to mid-20s, Gabriel said we can expect the rain to get heavier as the weekend progresses.
“Saturday will be the drier of the days, but by Sunday and Monday we will see heavier rainfall and storms with gusty winds across the region,” she said.
“Our modelling shows this wet period will bring further rainfall that will continue into the second half of next week too.”
With temperatures predicted in the mid to high 20s across the weekend, Gabriel said we can expect a bit of humidity.
“But as the rain sets in, it might drop the temperatures, especially during the second half of next week.”
So, don’t forget your umbrella if you are heading out, and take care on the roads.
