Local schools close due to bushfire threatNimbin town under a blanket of smoke and ash.

Due to the bushfire in the Nightcap National Park, local schools in the NImbin area are closed for the next two days.


Parents are urged to keep their children at home as there will be no supervision at the schools. 


Schools include: Nimbin Central School, Coffee Camp Public School, Tuntable Falls Community College, Tuntable Creek Public School, Barkersvale Public School, Rainbow Ridge Steiner School, Whian Whian, Terania Creek, and The Channon Public School.
