Local police now more gay and lesbian friendly

The Richmond Police District has doubled the number of Gay and Lesbian Liaison Officers working in the area.

“Richmond Police District is happy to announce that we have two new Gay and Lesbian Liasion Officers (GLLO/LGBTIQ) trained up and working out of Lismore,” a post on the Richmond PD Facebook page said.

“That brings our GLLO number to four, and they will cover the entire Richmond Police District.

“This is part of the NSW Police Force's dedication to promoting inclusiveness for all people.

“Our GLLO's will wear the attached badge on their uniform.

“If you want to speak to any of our GLLO's about any issue please feel free to call Lismore Police on 6626 0599.”
