Lismore's largest community Facebook group with more than 17,000 members has been deactivated indefinitely.

Lismore Information Exchange administrator Big Rob told the Lismore App he had "archived" the group because he "felt like it".

He declined to provide any further explanation.

On the "Unofficial: Big Rob" Facebook page, Mr Rob yesterday posted that the various "Information Exchange" groups he administered had been archived while the North Coast Crime and Lismore Radio pages had been unpublished "until further notice".

"[I am] just sick of being abused and so many trying to tell me what to do or demanding other groups be created," he commented under the post.

"There are already many other groups. They can all go there while I continue to do what I want in peace."

He said he had "no idea" when they would be up and running again.
