Lismore's Cooper Williams has led the NSW 12 Years & Under PSSA Cricket Team to the final at the School Sport Australia National Championships in Ballarat.

Williams, who also plays for Marist Brothers, top scored in the Final for NSW, hitting six 4's in his total of 55 off 70 balls.

NSW finished with 9/160 but in a dramatic finish, Victoria White were able to chase down the total in the last over of the match, eight wickets down.

Cooper captained the side to wins over Victoria Blue, ACT, Queensland and South Australia throughout the tournament and was praised for his outstanding leadership, both on and off the field.

Williams also added a solid 23 not out in the victory over South Australia.

The Our Lady Help of Christians student has a big future ahead of him in the cricketing arena, playing both junior and senior cricket for Marist Brothers and representing Far North Coast and beyond.
