The Lismore Women's Rugby side are through to the FNC Grand Final after a big win in the Major Semi Final.

The side took on the Casino Bulls on Saturday for the right to have a week off and move directly into the Grand Final.

It was a tight first half between the two teams, with Lismore leading 14-7 at the break.

The halftime speech worked a treat for the Greens, scoring another two tries in the second half and the defence holding out the Bulls.

Lismore took the win 24-7, with Chloe Sivewright crossing for a double and tries to Chloe Weston and Shontali Williams.

Madison Coppola converted two first half tries.

The First Grade Major Semi Final saw the Wollongbar Alstonville Pioneers run out convincing 43-19 winners over Ballina, scoring six tries in the process.

It was a winning day for the club with Second Grade and U/18 Colts also taking wins to have three teams in the FNC Grand Finals in two weeks time.

The remaining match saw Mullumbimby defeat Yamba in the closest match of the day in President's Cup.
