The Lismore Rugby Club's Women's 12's and U/18 Colts will both play in Preliminary Finals next weekend after mixed results in their Semi Finals.

The Women took on Casuarina on Saturday and went down 31-15.

The two sides play a very different style of rugby and unfortunately for the Green's it was not their day, but they get an opportunity to seek revenge if they win the Preliminary Final against Evans River who defeated Byron Shire 24-14.

The match was evenly poised at halftime, with the Barbarians holding a slight 14-10 lead before they impressed in the second stanza.

Captain Lara De Jong scored twice for Lismore with the other try going to Zali Wheeler.

The U/18 Colts had an impressive Elimination Semi Final victory over Evans River 36-12 on Sunday in Casino.

Outside Centre Jett Elmore scored a double, with Joey Davis, Jakob Lane, Zac Flood and Harry Gillett also crossing in the 6 tries to 2 win, after leading 12-5 at halftime.

The win sets up a Preliminary Final match with Casuarina after they were comprehensively beaten by Lennox Head 56-7 in the Major Semi Final.

In other results, Wollongbar Alstonville were impressive against Byron Shire, winning through to the Grand Final with a 33-17 victory. The Pioneers laid the platform for the win in the first half, leading 20-3 at the main break.

Byron Shire will take on Casuarina in the Preliminary Final next week after they defeated Casino 50-27 in Sunday's Minor Semi Final.
