Lismore U/12's Cricket Carnival wraps up

The Lismore U/12 Cricket Carnival has wrapped up for another year with several impressive results for visiting teams.



Hornsby Ku-ring-Gai and Hills District Cricket Association took out the 2026 title, defeating Ipswich in the Final at Oakes Oval.


Scoring 189, Hornsby Ku-ring-Gai held out a valiant Ipswich Hornets (10/140) to claim the Ron and Glenva Blok trophy.


Two Hornsby Ku-ring-Gai batsmen scored half-centuries in the 49-run victory.


The Plate division winners were Bathurst District, who scored 5/146 and then bowled impressively, taking down the Newcastle Blasters for 78.


The Spirit of Cricket team went to Manly Warringah.



The Far North Coast Thunder went down in the Plate Division Semi Finals to eventual winners Bathurst.


The Thunder were able to claim victory in their final match of the tournament, taking down North Shore Maroon by 32 runs to take third place in the Plate division.


The Far North Coast Sixers toiled hard all week, going down to the Gold Coast in the final match of the carnival by 42 runs.



The 2027 edition of the Lismore U/12's Cricket Carnival will be held from 11th to 14th January, a little later due to how the New Year holidays fall next year.
