Lismore Rugby Club will head to Evans Head with confidence, when they take on the Killer Whales on Saturday afternoon.

Lismore are coming off a 57-12 defeat by Ballina, but there were glimpses of strong defence and when in possession, organised attack.

A good start and consistency will be the key for the Greens to come away with victory in Evans Head.

The Killer Whales come off a heartbreaking 1 point loss to Casino last weekend, even though they scored 6 tries in the loss.

The side will see Cameron Bryant play his fourth position in as many weeks, when he starts at hooker, with Tate Bailey shifting to prop.

Veteran Ben Briggs will start in the second row to strengthen the pack.

In the backline, Julian Thompson starts on the wing and Soren Webster earns a start at outside centre after several strong performances in Colts and Reserve Grade.

Reserve Grade will kick off at 1:50pm and First Grade at 3:15pm.

The SCU Gold Rats will head to Wollongbar with a number of new faces ready to strengthen the side against the competition heavyweights.

The Rats will be looking for a better defensive effort against the Pioneers after a tough weekend last round.
