Have you ever thought about tapping into your inner creative being? Is there a stage play that you have always wanted to direct?
Well, the Lismore Theatre Company (LTC) is after you, your talent and your passion.
The LTC is inviting Directors, wishing to stage a show, to submit a proposal by July 30.
LTC typically stages four productions throughout the year including a pantomime at its home, Rochdale Theatre in Goonellabah.
To date in 2021, the Company has staged Educating Rita directed by David Addenbrooke and Kylie Fuad, Puss in Thongs directed by Danica Taylor and Neighbourhood Watch directed by Daniel Sassi. In September, Sharon Bridie will direct Running Up a Dress.
(Elyse Knowles and Gray Wilson starred in Educating Rita at LTC. The first stage performance in the 2021 season.)
Proposals including a budget, the name of a producer, acting, staging and other requirements are available using forms from the Artistic Directors Jennie Hicks or Bette Guy.
‘Our Company is open to considering a wide range of productions so we welcome directors to bring forward their proposals,’ said Jennie Hicks.
‘Proposals and budgets can be submitted until Friday, July 30 using the necessary forms,’ said Bette Guy. ‘Both Jennie and I are available by email to answer any questions too,’ Bette added.
Following the close of applications, the Artistic Directors will make recommendations to the full LTC committee for determination.

Shows generally run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday over two or three sessions with a Thursday preview. The theatre seats 88 and has experienced backstage, technical and front of house crews that can assist a Director’s vision to become a reality.
