The SCU Gold Rats and Lismore Rugby Club will both hit the road this weekend for Round 9 of FNC Rugby Union.

The Gold Rats will travel to Casino to take on the Bulls, after an improved performance against Lennox Head last weekend.

The Gold Rats showed a better defensive resolve in the second half last week and hopefully it is a change in fortune for the club.

SCU will need to contain Casino's Number 10 Jayden Torrens if they are to taste their first victory this season.

Torrens was impressive last week against Lismore and the Rats defence will need to reduce his space and time on Saturday.

The Lismore side are coming off their second win of the season against the Bulls and head further west to Mallanganee to play Richmond Range.

The Range will be a tough opponent at home, but with a victory last weekend, the Greens will be looking to go back to back for the first time in many years.

Calijah Craig comes into the side for the injured Mitchell Cox in the only change for Lismore.
