Lismore Rugby Club will not be taking to the playing field again this week in a frustrating period for the Greens.
The club has a bye in Round 9 after a successful Ladies Day last weekend, where the First Grade side matched it with Byron Shire for the majority of the match.
Due a combination of wet weather, the Kings Birthday Long Weekend and a bye round for the Country Championships, the club will play Wollongbar Alstonville next weekend in just their fourth match in nearly nine weeks.
It has been hard to build momentum for all grades, with a stop/start beginning to the season effecting most clubs.
FNC Rugby Union is not alone, with most outdoor sports finding it difficult to adjust draws and play catch up matches due to the wet weather that plagued the start of the winter sport season.
First Grade are still looking for their first win, but after the Byron Shire effort, it is not far away.
Reserve Grade are in a similar position, the Colts currently sit in fourth and will look to cement their semifinal position in the coming weeks.
The Women's side are yet to taste defeat and sit equal top of the table with Casino after a 4-0 start to the year.
The ladies have a game or two in hand to the teams around them and will look to push ahead in a compact ladder, with just one win separating first to fifth.
Lismore will host the Pioneers next Saturday at home.
In this weekend's matches, Byron Shire host Lennox Head, Casuarina head to Ballina in an intriguing clash and Wollongbar will host the Casino Bulls.
