The Lismore Storm women's team have won through to the Sunshine Conference Grand Final after victory over the Byron Bay Beez.

The Lismore side jumped to an early lead and were never headed in their 28 point victory.

The Storm led 26-6 at quarter time but the Beez began to peg the lead back and reduced the deficit to 48-34 at half time in a high scoring quarter that lacked defence.

In the warm conditions Byron began to fatigue with only six players and the Storm took advantage, edging the lead out to 66-45 at three quarter time.

Olivia Glazebrook fouled out early for the Beez in the final quarter and Isis Crawford left the court with an ankle injury to reduce the visitors to four and the the Storm continued the onslaught, running out comfortable 86-58 winners.

Makayla Greensill and Emily Simpson shared the scoring honours with 23 points each.

Courtney Peate top scored for Byron with 20 points.

The Lismore Storm will seek revenge in next Saturday's Grand Final when they take on the undefeated Coffs Harbour Suns, who defeated the Storm in last week's major semi final.

In the Men's competition, the Byron Beez will take on the Valley Braves in the Grand Final after the Braves defeated Coffs Harbour 73-56 in their preliminary final.
