Lismore Storm with a busy weekend schedule

The Lismore Basketball Association has a busy weekend ahead with junior and senior teams involved in important competitions.

The senior teams will contest Round 3 of the Sunshine Conference on Sunday, with three big matches at the Lismore Stadium.

The day will start with the Division 2 Men playing Byron at 10:00am, before the Women hit the court against the Beez at 12:00pm.

The women will be looking to continue their winning run against the Byron side, who they have had the wood over in recent contests.

The Division 1 Men will take on Grafton at 2:00pm in what should be a close match, after Lismore took the Round 1 match 85-71.

The men are coming off a last start loss to Ballina after several players were out with injury and work commitments and they will be out reverse that result.

In other Sunshine Conference matches, Ballina head to Coffs Harbour on Saturday to take on the Suns in both Division 1 Men and Women.

In Division 2, Casino hosts Tweed Valley and Yamba host Valley Braves, with both matches on Saturday.

The North Coast Shield junior basketball competition tips off this weekend with Round 1 matches in Ballina on Saturday and Sunday.

The northern NSW competition sees teams from Tweed, Byron, Lismore, Ballina, Yamba, Grafton and Bellingen, competing in Under 11's, 13's, 15's, 17's and 18's age divisions in both girls and boys competitions.

Matches at the Ballina Indoor Sports Centre start at 7:30am each day and run through until 5:30pm.
